About Me
Joining Australian TV’s ‘Young Talent Time’ at the age of 12 was my first dream come true. The experience of a weekly TV show and ongoing live concerts, gave me thorough training in the entertainment industry.
After YTT, I pursued my career with a Sony recording contract, studio jingles, TV feature spots, songwriting partnerships, touring in record breaking shows and even became a singing Policewoman. The addition of feature guest spots on prime time radio is the newest and most exciting experience to date! I'm a singer, an entertainer, a coach and I can't wait to see what's in store for me next..... Life is better with music!

I love to sing jingles! With over 24 years experience as a session vocalist and over 30 jingles on air (not counting submissions - I've lost count of those!), session singing is one of my passions! Most recent jingles on air:

Code One Band /Duo
Former members of the Victoria Police Bands, Code One Band and Code One Duo fit any occasion, big or small. Code One Band begins with 5 members and can range anywhere up to a showband if required. For smaller functions, the Code One Duo, is husband and wife team, Rick and Lorena.
Any combination can be arranged to suit and will have everyone up and dancing or chilling out with some laid back grooves.
5 piece band members: Lorena Novoa (lead vocals-MC) / Rick Varlet (lead vocals-guitar-sound-MC) / Darryl McKenzie (bass-trombone-MD) / Daina Jowsey-Hudson (lead vocalist) / Elise Beattie (lead vocals) / Richard Bennett (drummer).
